Captain's Blog Stardate 201207.27
I have been slowly working on my Klingon and Romulan shuttles. I used tape to hold down the Romulan engines for these pictures.
I have the main parts down on each shuttle, now I need to add detail to make them look the part.
On a side note I ordered some of Rebel Minis Manths today. I can't wait to get them in and paint them up.
Nice work in progress, Capt. I had a little chuckle when I saw the next-to-the-last picture...looks like my fingers super glued to a model! (my right hand is reaching for my jar of acetone)
ReplyDeleteJust got the glue off from last nite!
DeleteI like! Nice use of an old kit.
ReplyDeleteAwesome work, capt!

DeleteWhere did you pull the engines for the rom shuttle from? This is an awesome project and I just got two Johnny lightning shuttles in the mail time to order one more!
ReplyDeleteHey Chris,
DeleteThey are from the old AMT TOS3 peice set: http://di1-3.shoppingshadow.com/images/pi/cf/8b/e8/90159415-260x260-0-0_Amt+Ertl+Star+Trek+Space+Ship+Set+Model+Kit.jpg
Most COOL! I just discovered your site and I MUST BUY the TOS minis!!!! I've been looking for them since the 1980s for FASA Trek.
ReplyDeleteBTW-Have you ever thought of making these shuttlecraft "Paper Models" instead? They would be much cheaper and you could sell them online also.
