Captain Kirk and the crew of the USS Enterprise
Captain's Blog Stardate 201112.21
The Brave Captain Kirk and his crew of the USS Enterprise
I had some time recently to finish these up. I now have the Klingons, the Romulans and the Federation done. I still need to complete more buildings, but since I am getting some for Christmas that will have to wait for a little longer. My next project will be painting up some aliens (TOS style) so that my crew can...
...explore strange new worlds,To seek out new life and new civilizations. To boldly go where no man has gone before.

Commander Salek and the crew of the Dragohawk
Captain's Blog Stardate 201112.14
The Noble Commander Salek and his crew of the Dragohawk
Between Soccer, football (Saints and LSU), family and getting ready for our second child, I finally got a chance to complete my Romulans over the last week. I still have some more Starfleet Crew to paint up.
Next up, civilians that I ordered from Blue Moon Manufacturing (Plains Indians and Townsfolk to convert), GZG, 15mm co, and RAFM. I will be completing these in stages.
I also ordered some buildings from GameCraft Miniatures for Christmas. While I was at it, I e-mailed them to see if they would be interested in making starship interiors. I recieved a promising response from Allen.

15mm Klingon and Romulan Conversions
Captain's Blog Stardate 201109.13
I have been working on converting some Astro Crew to Klingons and Romulans.
Steps:
First I sanded around the legs using files and added green stuff to make different pant styles. I also added a little green stuff to make sashes for some of the minis. I then did some head swaps using two of the Pointy Ear Head sprues for the Romulans and two of the Bearded/Musache/Goatee Head sprues for the Klingons. Finally, I changed out the weapons. I wanted the Romulans to have a more of an independent feel, so I used a different laser pistol than I did for the Klingons. Not quite TOS, but I like the look.
Klingons:
Romulans:
Hopefully I will get these painted up soon. I am planning on using them with 5150 New Beginnings when it comes out.
On a side note, my wife gave me the green light in ordering some Laserburn Adventurers and Star Soldiers currently featured over at Dropship Horizon. I have been eyeing them for some time to use in my games.

My new hex map
My old felt hax map has seen better days and my regular opponent has been making comments about it's conditon in our last couple of engagements. Well, today when he showed up he had a supprise for me.
The map is regulation SFB/Fed Com tournament size and has a thick coat of polyurethane. The map has been placed on a 3/4" inch sheet of plywood and is heavy.
